I’m a community member, working in Hope Vale with families and the school.
I wanted to get more involved, so I stepped up to be part of the action group for the Alliance of Guugu Yimithirr People.
I see my role and responsibility as being an advocate for change and a voice for the community. I would like to see more people working together in partnership with different organisations.
I would like to see more people getting involved in working together as a partnership with different organisations in Hope Vale. Instead of one group make one decision we would like to see everyone get involved to benefit the community and education for the kids.
If I could identify one priority for Hope Vale, it’s that we need more training for young people and school leavers returning to the community, so they have something to look forward to.
Hope Vale has come a long way since the early days. My main thing I would like to see is Hope Vale grow and have all the community organisations working together for the betterment of our people. I would like to see a good outcome from all this partnership. I would like to see it grow more.
